Help me get dressed for Blissdom 09!

Blissdom 09 is going to be my first ever blogging conference. I'm excited to meet so many amazing women, learn some digi skills from my roommate Linda, and get inspired for v2 of this little time suck I call my blog.

I'm also a little overwhelmed....

because there is a cocktail party...

and I haven't been to a cocktail party in a very long time.

What do I wear???

That is why I have begged, cajoled and harassed you into visiting my blog.
I need you to help me choose from 3 outfits.

Here are 3 outfits shown in crappy photos I took with my phone and a little description. I could put each outfit on and model it for you while my husband plays photog with our Nikon D40 digital SLR camera, but that would make too much sense and make this blog look way more professional than it really is.
Also, I'm lazy.

So do the best you can with what I have here.

Outfit A: conservative yet classy

Pencil skirt with pink blazer paired
with my favorite (only) Prada purse, and peep-toe pumps

Outfit B: fun and funky
Black velor coat with embroidery, satin shoulder blouse,
skinny jeans (not shown) and black mules

Outfit C: the dress

Dark navy dress with red satin slingbacks and a
kelly green quilted satin clutch (not shown) for more color

Your job?
Leave a comment telling me what is most appropriate for a blogging conference cocktail hour: A, B or C

I will forever be grateful!
Faithfully yours,
Janine

  2. Got your DM. I vote for #3 too. That one just screams "cocktail party."

  3. Cocktail parties are dressy occasions. I say go with #3. It's both stylish and classy. #2 is too casual and # 1 is more of a fashionable business look.

If the cocktail party was early in the afternoon or around noon-ish you could get away with #1. However, I say go with #3.

  4. I say option 2. I am all about expressing personal style and I think fun and funky is the feel of the conference.

  5. If it's a party, I say the little black dress - option C. Besides, it would still be considered classy yet confident.

PS, I had a dress similar to that but more shimmier and shiny and longer ;)

  6. Okay I love those shoes in option 3. Blue would be a great canvas for them. In the end wear what is comfortable and makes you feel good and confident.

  7. Glad you picked #3. Very cute!

PS Did you get the email that I sent you yesterday re: Disney?

  8. Thanks everyone! Now, I just have to make sure that #3 fits...and find some kind of wrap to go with it so I don't freeze.

  9. Tough choice! I think I B or C. Whatever is most comfortable. D you know how dressed up you have to be? if it's more casual, I think I'd go with B. I'm a sucker for jeans myself.

It was nice chatting with you the other day!

  12. Wow! All 3 look great to me.

I am going with something more similar to #2, but I have a nursing baby with me.

Look forward to saying hi in person!

If you don't have anything nice to say...
